My personal choice would be GTA IV, and Niko Bellic is my favourite protagonist. The story is exciting, sad, funny and thought-provoking. But, as the game is adult-rated and aimed at the 18 plus age group, the younger gamers who do play it regardless (and there are many of them) may not be as impressed with the adult themed storyline.
