Greed is pretty much at the root of the world's problems today.

Satan, once a perfect angel, became greedy, desiring to have people worship HIM instead of God. He got Adam and Eve to follow him instead of the creator, thus setting himself up as an opposing god. (2 Corin 4:3,4) His greed ultiimately lead to the death of all mankind.

When Adam and Eve were created, they had everything they could possibly want...

a perfect paradise home, a wonderful relationship with each other and with God and an endless future raising a happy family and together working to turn the whole earth into a paradise like Eden, but they took their wonderful gift of FREE WILL and CHOSE, with satan's urging, to become greedy and want even things that did NOT belong to them. (Genesis 2:15-17)(Genesis 3:1-7, 17-19) Because of their greed they became disobedient to God and thus IMperfect, so, like a cake pan with a dent in it, every cake you make from that pan, will have the same dent as part of it's makeup, so every child that came from Adam and Eve was also imperfect, "dented' if you will....getting more and more so as the generations passed. With imperfection came sickness and death, and so here we are.

So The Bible speaks very strongly against greed.

1 Corinthians 6:9, 10 and Ephesians 5:5 tell us that 'greedy persons will NOT inherit God's Kingdom'.

It's so serious that in Ephesians 5:3 Paul said: "Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greedinessnot even be mentioned among you"

At Ephesians 4:17-19, 28 we're told that rather than becoming greedy, wanting something that's not ours, we should work hard to buy our own, and have extra to give others in need.

1 Corinthians 5:11 tells Christians not to even associate with a greedy person,

Titus 1:7,8 and 1 Timothy 3:8 tell us that anyone who is in a leadership position in the true Christian congregation, must NOT be greedy.

In the 'last days' JUST before God steps in with his Kingdom, to end all the problems in the world, one of the signs of the times would be greed. The Bible says: "In the last days......men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money..." 2 Tim 3:1-5.

And this is what we see today.

Does the bible say you can forgive those in hell?

The word "Hell " is found in many Bible translation . In the same verses other translations read " the grave," "the world of the dead," and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered "hell"; The Hebrew word she'ohl' and its Greek equivalent hai'des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but the common grave of dead mankind. However, both in Christendom and in many non.Christian religions it is taught that hell is a place inhabited by demons and where the wicked, after death, are punished ( and some believe that this is with torment) The Bible is quite clear concerning the dead. Eccliastes 9. 5,10 show that " The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.... When Adam and Eve decided to no longer live up to God's requirements, Genesis 3: 16-19 shows that God told them that they will return to the ground, where they were taken from. Read Genesis 2: 7 Psalm 146 4: confirms that reality in these words. "He goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish. The concept of a 'soul' seperate from the body does not exist in the Bible. The word 'soul means in reality 'a person '. Concerning forgiveness of our sins in the Bible. Ephesians 1. 7 and Matthew 26: 28 shows that a high price was paid for the forgiveness of our sins, which was with Jesus' blood, due to God's kindness that no man or woman deserves. 2'000 years ago God sent his precious Son to earth to redeem the human race from the curse of sin and death and to undo the damage caused by Satan in the garden of E'den. Read John 3: 16; 1 John 3: 8 Genesis chapter 3 and Romans 5: 12 is mankind's history and the root of sin on earth. The word sin means 'miss the goal' God's goal was that we live forever on earth. That goal was postponed for the moment Psalm 37: 29 shows what our future holds, in these words. "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it". 2 Peter 3: 13 shows that we are awaiting new heavens( a new government) and a new earth ( new society of humans ) and in these righteousness is to dwell. Concerning all those who are dead, the Book of John 5: 28,29 shows that they are in God's memory in the memorial tombs, and will hear Jesus' voice and come out, on resurrection day. This is what the Bible teaches.
