There is a game called "Wheelman." I own it, and it is similar to GTA. You steal cars, perform hits and such, but there is less gore, sex, and prostitution involved. It isn't quite up to GTAs standard, but it is enjoyable and more age appropriate. Saints Row and Saints Row 2 are both like GTA, although it has been stated in reviews that it is possibly more influential and inappropriate than GTA. So if you're looking for less gore, then don't buy Saints Row. However, it is a similar game to GTA.
