No, the wii is a horrible console compared to the PS3. With the new move support a ps3 is the exact same thing as a wii, except it can go to the z plane. (distance from tv) Meaning it's alot more precise than the wii. Also, it's got the best graphics in the market, compared to the worst. Also every single 3rd party game isn't crap.
The wii is better for kids, if your a parent. Or if you don't have alot of money to spend.
Whoever answered the question above can't use logic. The PS3 costs like $500 and its games are too expensive. Also the Wii isn't only for kids, it's for anybody. Also the PlayStation move forces you to calibrate too much. Graphics have absolutely nothing to do with gameplay. The PS3's games are pretty much all rated M for Mature because Sony can't use their freaking minds and say that there are more kids than 17-year-olds on this planet.

∙ 11y agoThe Nintendo Wii costs less than the PS3 and the games cost less for a reason. The Wii does not have the PS3 capabilities. Nintendo can not even match the PS3 as a game console and the PS3 is much more than just a game console. Wii black Ops users wonder why they are not getting the DLCs, but there system can not run the those zombie maps and they don't understand. Most Wii users are not able to understand that the PS3 and Xbox 360 have better more technological advanced gaming hardware than there system and that is why the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will not be coming out for there system. When Activision had Treyarch create the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex Edition that was the most the Wii could handle. The Wii users kept wondering when they were going to get MW2 not understanding the limits of there system.
Most games on the PS3 won't be on the Wii but most games on the Wii will be on the PS3. It also depends if you like to just push buttons on your controller or if you actually want to swing it around and pretend you're running, swimming, dancing and all that. Most wii games include you to move you're remote to make things more 'realistic.'
