Well, I really don't know.Hardly any language at all, some violence but it should be rated T
Old Answer : It should not be rated because I am 19 and I have it. The worst word I've Herd in it was S***! and there's barely any gore. If your a parent who won't let there children play it's a fine game to let your children play. It actually should be rated T because the the violence isn't that bad. So What I'm saying is that it should really be Rated T and you should let your children play. It really isn't that bad actually. (Only let them play for 30 minutes).
If you want to play cod4 or 2 its ok trust me. I'm 11 and my parents are overprotective and they let me play. I have WAW but its pretty gory
Call of Duty modern warfare: Blood and gore (yeah right...) strong language (only heard s*** and ive completed whole game)
call of duty 2:blood, violence
Call of duty 5: Blood and Gore, Strong STRONG language, drug reference and violence (duh)
because of language and violence and when u play online and people with headsets say like the f word and stuff.
so does people on W@W but that's an 15 its the solo that makes it an 18 not the people otherwise every game with an headset useage available will be an 18.

it is actually rated MA
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is rated mature for the following:
Because of the swearing, some nudity and suggestive portions of the game (the strip clubs), and violence (gunfights and criminal activities) I presume.
It has blood and gore and there is a lot of cussing that is inappropriate to younger people.
Because it is violent.
